Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education is a subject through which pupils develop the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to manage their lives, now and in the future. It helps children and young people to stay healthy and safe, while preparing them to make the most of life and work (PSHE Association)
Our PSHE curriculum at Woodvale has three core themes:
- Health and Well-being
- Living in the Wider World
The content of our long-term plan is thematic which means that the whole school will focus on the same theme during each half-term.
The requirements set out in the Relationships and Sex education and Health education statutory framework are built into this thematic model.
